Nantucket Book Festival
CommPromo worked with the Nantucket Book Festival, now in its fourth year, in 2013 to raise the off-island profile of the Festival both through media and publicity, as well as through strategic partnerships with organizations who expanded outreach and audience. In 2015, we will continue in that role as well as developing a coherent brand for this year’s event in June.
Women in Comedy Festival
CommPromo worked with WICF 2014 to initiate media partnerships with Yelp.com, The Boston Metro, and CBS Radio both to enhance benefits of sponsor packages, as well as to promote the growing Festival to a wider audience.
Ford C-MAX Energi Tour
CommPromo was hired to identify sites for the Ford C-MAX Energi Tour, a field marketing effort to introduce the environmental and economic benefits of the new Ford C-MAX Energi Plug-In Hybrid to the region. Tying into events with large and appropriately targeted audiences, Ford was able to reach 100,000+ consumers directly through this field marketing effort in the New England area.
Boston Common Frog Pond, 2011-2012
CommPromo managed the public relations and promotional campaign for the Boston Common Frog Pond, managed by The Skating Club of Boston. CommPromo oversaw the social media promotion for this legacy Boston cultural destination. We also developed media, vendor, and sponsor partnerships, creating a mix of events that attracted diverse audiences of Bostonians and tourists to this terrific outdoor venue.
As creator and producer of Boston’s first major consumer event dedicated to sustainable living, CommPromo developed sponsorship opportunities that were customized according to client focus: the Electrolux Kitchen Theater, the Mahoney’s Spring Eco-Garden, and the Organic Valley Kids’ Block were a few of the event elements that were sponsored.
Roberto Bazzoni Onlus Annual Fundraising Gala—2006, 2007, 2008
Pioneer Investments’ charitable non-profit association, The Roberto Bazzoni Onlus, provides funding for humanitarian projects around the world. We provided program and entertainment consultation for their annual fundraising event, signed several sponsors for the event, and managed the promotional campaign. Our efforts elevated the visibility of the organization by securing segments on the BBC’s The World, CNN’s World Aids Day Program, WGBH, and WBUR. The event raised more than $150,000 to support ongoing Onlus efforts to combat AIDS in Zimbabwe.
A Russian Revel: the Ballet Russes Centennial Celebration, 2009
The Ballet Russes retained CommPromo to produce A Russian Revel, an evening of ballet, music, and poetry featuring prima ballerina Nina Ananiashvili. We oversaw all production, provided program consultation, developed and implemented the promotion and advertising campaigns, and provided on-site event management. A Russian Revel provided financial support and set the stage for the month-long series of Ballets Russes events in 2010.
